Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts Show
I will be demonstrating Silk Shading at the show and selling my book 'Beginner's guide to silk shading' as well as many kits. It would be great to see you, please come and say hello! 25th to 28th September at Westpoint, Exeter. Tickets £4-£6.50.

New Stitches Magazine articles
Look out for my latest designs in Mary Hickmotts 'New Stitches Magazine'. Over the next year these will include a stitch sampler, goldwork, 3 dimesional goldwork, whitework, silk shading and a mixed technique piece.

Embroidered Coat - The picture to the right is an embroidered coat worn by Clare to a family wedding in January 2008. It was made by Alison Miles Couture of Bath and hand embroidered by Clare. The coat was inspired by a Parisien Dress coat and with large red flowers and leaves, some of the smaller flowers were appliqued velvet and lace motifs. The coat was finished with red gem stones, beads and a fabulous furr collar. More pictures can be seen in the gallery.
